CARTRIDGE FILTERS: PFO
OPERATION
The PFO filter is characterized by the horizontal arrangement of the cartridges filter elements. Their extraction, for checks, maintenance and replacement, takes place laterally.
Each horizontal filter element consists of a cartridge ø 325 x 1345 mm long mounted on a support and centering frame in steel wire. A module consists of 4 cartridges ø 325 x 1345 mm for a total filter surface area of 88 m2. Each module can treat, depending on the nature and concentration of the dust, a variable amount of air from 4,000 to 8,000 m3/h.
The compressed air "reverse pulse jet" cleaning system is controlled by an electronic sequencer which, in addition to controlling the opening and closing of a 1" solenoid valve for each filter element, continuously provides the reading of the ΔP value. PFO filters are equipped with polyester cartridges with 99.92% efficiency. For slightly damp or slightly greasy powders, cartridges with a water and oil-repellent treatment based on Teflon® Resin are used; for greasy or sticky powders, cartridges treated with a silicone-based PW product are used. For difficult-to-treat powders, cartridges coupled with a permeable Teflon® membrane are used. The ME treatment is given to the cartridges, during production, by means of a permeable film of aluminum or stainless steel.
FEATURES
Each PFO filter is equipped with a standard hopper with four support legs and a dust collection container ø 600 x 400 with quick coupling. Other solutions for the discharge of filtered dust (rotary valve, manually or motorized shutter, double-flap shutter, auger, etc.) are provided on request.
Teflon® is a registered trademark of Du Pont.
