A scrubber tower is a type of filter damp for the elimination of dust, odors and water-soluble solvents from air streams. Also known as "wet scrubbers", these towers literally wash the air, spraying it with a specially calibrated solution, adjusted to the right pH level, to combine with and eliminate polluting particles.
Scrubber towers are devices with generally lower efficiency than other filtration technologies, which is around 95%: therefore, they can only be used where this threshold complies with current regulations.
They have, on the other hand, a great advantage: they have no replacement filters or moving parts to replace, and therefore - net of a correct maintenance - are practically eternal
The reference standard for activated carbon filters is based on BAT (Best Available Technologies), which are the basis for the tables of the Italian Regions.
As manufacturers of our scrubber towers, here at Bruno Balducci srl we are able to design and customize each filter according to the application conditions, the sector of use and the filtration efficiency required by the customer.
