Continuous monitoring is a very simple practice in itself, consisting in the implementation of devices and systems capable of controlling, at every instant, the composition, flow, and behavior of the air filtered by a special system.

Continuous monitoring of industrial emissions is regulated according to Legislative Decree 152/2006, which requires the implementation of equipment for this purpose in some specific categories of plants:

  • medium and large combustion plants subject to AIA, AUA;

  • plants subject to art. 275 with a mass flow of solvents emitted from the stack > 10kg/h of VOC;

  • incineration and co-incineration plants; waste energy recovery plants; cement plants; glassworks; steel mills.

The installation of special equipment therefore constitutes a legal obligation for various business realities; beyond this, moreover, carrying out continuous checks on the operation of the air filtration systems allows for their optimization, and provides useful data to increase business efficiency.
